Firstly a huge congratulations to Abbie Jones who has been selected and has played for Hertfordshire ladies U15s. She made her debut in a double header against Bucks (a win) and Essex. Well done Abbie! This is yet another example of the quality of our Junior coaching programme and the players it produces.
On the subject of ladies cricket, Mandy MacMurdie is looking to start a NECC Ladies team, if you are interested in playing or know someone who is, please contact Mandy or myself.
Following on from my last email thank you to to all those who have donated money to the new roller and sold / bought raffle tickets. We are off to a solid start but there is still an awful lot to do. Please let me or Andy MacMurdie know if you would like to donate £100 to get your name on the roller and/or sell raffle tickets.
We have a member hire this Friday and need a couple more bar staff helpers. As I have stated repeatedly we can not just play cricket and expect to survive, let alone thrive; there is only so much those on management can do. We have all made amazing progress over the last 7 / 8 years but every year income over the bar is even more critical to ensure we all enjoy watching and playing cricket. Please contact Andy or I if you can help out for a few hours behind the bar, thank you.
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. our club then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
