As a club we have generally missed the showers of late and all teams have enjoyed success in the first part of the season. I have always been proud to be Chairman of a club whose players 'play to win' out in the middle but do so in the spirit of the game.
Back in May 2013 (Mail from the Chair no. 32), I circulated a document called 'What is means to play for North Enfield' which was based on our club 'Code of Conduct'. The objective of the document was to ensure we remain a considerate club both on and off the pitch, by laying out all of our responsibilities to fellow club members and oppositions alike.
Can I please ask all members open the attached document and re-familiarise themselves with it. We all look forward to representing NECC, but please be mindful of the attached before and after you step over the white line.
In closing please get your availability to our skippers and can I remind you that
- This Sunday we are planning a junior day at the beach to Frinton. All members and families are welcome. Please ask Phil or Kathryn for details
- Friday 30th June we are holding our first Ladies’ Night at the club. £5 a ticket which includes Prosecco, cake and shopping. Please contact Phil Jones for more details and tickets.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
