Please keep your availability coming in to TC and Andy Mac; be proactive. It is holiday season so if you are not sunning yourself on the beach, please sun yourself on the cricket field. I know Tom and Andy are so appreciative of those that are on the front foot to save them having to send 101 messages and phone calls in the week. Thank you.
Dates for the diary.
Firstly we are hosting Enfield Lawn Tennis Club in a game of family cricket on Friday 17th August. We will be playing with an 'Incrediball' so there will be no need for pads or gloves, format will be TBC on the day depending on numbers. There are a number of us who are members of both clubs and there are parents and juniors who play both sports, so please come along and we will mix up the teams and get everyone involved in some very family friendly and inclusive cricket. If I can get really organised I will get the BBQ fired up and the bar will of course be open. All are welcome!
Also our Junior presentation evening will be held on Friday 7th September from 6.30pm (no ticket charge this year), cakes/puddings will be on sale on the night. Let's please get as many of our Junior players attending the night as possible and celebrate another brilliant summer of junior cricket at Strayfield Road. Please bring along family and friends on the night; even prospective members to sow the seed for next season. Any questions please contact Phil Jones or your team manager.
To all U15s and their parents, we think it is more fitting to hold presentations for all our U15s at the Dinner & Dance this year, where we also hold all adult presentations. As we have more U15s playing weekend cricket it makes more sense for them to have their own table on the night and be recognised with the adults. The date is TBA but will be some time in November. Of course U15s are welcome to support the younger players. We look forward to welcoming all players to our end of season celebration! Any questions please ask Andy or Andy.
Finally and very importantly, though our roller donations are coming in (thanks so much to all of you to date!), we still have a long way to go. We have loads of Raffle Tickets to buy / sell to members and their friends/family so please contact Andy Mac or reply to this email as you need. Also as mentioned for £100 donation we will add you name to the growing list and engrave your name of the new roller. Please reply to the mail or call me to confirm interest.
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. our club then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
