I hope this mail finds all members and friends of the club well. Sorry for the gap between messages, we have been away on our holidays and have then been catching up upon our return.
Our first team play their last league game of the season tomorrow against Northchurch at home. Gillers has organised a well earned curry after the game which has been well supported; sorry I can't join you as we will be in Kent celebrating a joint family 40th. Of course cricket continues after this weekend throughout September, please keep your availability coming to Andy Mac and Steve Gilmore.....
Dates for the diary
- Next Friday (7th September) - Junior Presentation Evening from 18.30.
- 25th September - NECC EGM from 19.00. As previously advised we have given notice of an EGM to discuss the make up of adult cricket at North Enfield in 2019. Please can all adult players, and older junior players and parents come along and have your say.
- First couple of weekends in October will be our end of season work rota weekends. These weekends are crucial to ensure we can play cricket again next season. If you have played our enjoyed watching any form of cricket at Strayfield Road this year please 'do your bit' and help prepare the wickets for 2019. Every hour counts.
- 9th November - North Enfield CC Dinner & Dance. As per last year we will be holding the event at Enfield Ignatians RFC. Full details to follow and as per my last mail we think it is more fitting to hold presentations for all our U15s at the Dinner & Dance this year. As we have more U15s playing weekend cricket it makes more sense for them to have their own table on the night and be recognised with the adults. Please mark the evening in your diaries.
Finally thanks to all those that have donated towards the roller and / or bought raffle tickets. Please contact me or Andy Mac if you want to donate also.
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. our club then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
