I hope this mail finds you all well. Sorry for the slight delay since my last mail but I have been away travelling with work and we were away for most of half-term. So what news?
Firstly thanks for everyone's support for our Race Night and the Dinner & Dance over the past few weeks. Brilliant to see both nights so well attended. Thanks also to Andy, Mandy, Stu, Del and Kathryn for organising the evenings. Both raised much needed money for the club and were real celebrations. Particularly brilliant to see a whole table of 'senior Juniors' at the Dinner & Dance last Friday!
Talking about fund raising we have now paid off the balance on the roller which is some feat! We don't have much money left in the bank now, but considering we have have invested in a shiny new roller and new containers this season (both once in 50 year investments) it is hardly surprising! Thanks to every member and friend of the club that bought a raffle ticket or who has offered to donate towards the plaque. Of course it is not too late for the latter, if you still want to donate please let me know, if you have not had a personal email from me to confirm and thank you for your offer it means I don't have you on my list. I will be finalising with all donators soon, so if in doubt let me know please.
Next social dates
- We are taking a table at EIRFC President's Christmas lunch on 15th December. Please let me if you want to join us
- 16th December the popular wreath making is back, 11.00 meet at the club
- 31 December, as last year we are holding a Family NYE party at the club. Tickets will be £5 entry and free for U5s
Finally, our 2019 AGM is set for Sunday 10th February @ 19.30. An official letter will follow from Owen soon, but please get the date in your diary and come and have a say in the way your club is run.
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. our club then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
