I hope this mails finds you all well. Our season is well underway and there are things to report on.....
- Firstly I'm delighted to report that our investment in our Junior Section is beginning to bear fruit! After I stood shoulder to shoulder with Ken, Kieran and the rest of the coaches a good few years back, we now have 3 juniors playing every week in our Sunday XI. Brilliant to see them contributing and enjoying the game, they will be playing league cricket in no time......
- Speaking of the juniors, all teams continue to do well and are in the top 1 or 2 in their respective leagues! Keep up the good work and my thanks to the coaches and all parental support
- Fixture Cards are now received from the printers, please pick yours up from the bar and there is a .pdf copy on our website also
- We really need an umpire for our 2nd XI!! Can anyone please step up (it does not need to be be every week) to save us being penalised points? If you can or you know someone, please let me or Mark Ricketts know. Also if you are willing but would like to go on a course to get confident, again please let me know and the club will pay for you.
- We have had some drawstring bags made up (imagine attached in the link to the right) and I'm really pleased with them. Cost is £6 and can be bought from the Junior tuck shop on a Wednesday. There will be other ways too, I'll let you know....
- Following from my last mail our new mobile cover will be with us in a few weeks, the Bowdry has already been delivered. Thanks again to Waitrose and the ECB for the £4,000 award! More info can be found at http://www.ecb.co.uk/information/waitrose/ewct-small-grant-scheme-supported-by-waitrose
- Finally we are showing the Champions League Final on the big screen on Saturday. It's an all Spanish affair so a pint of North Enfield's San Miguel is just the ticket! Please stay after the game or pop up for a beer.....
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. North Enfield CC then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
