The season is well underway and I have news......
- All our Junior teams have played one game in their respective leagues and all have won their first match! Well done to all the players and thanks to all the coaches and parents for all the support! These players are the future of the club and I am so pleased to see the Junior section flourish! We sill need more new players so please keep mentioning to friends and family....
- Our adult teams have all played and the Saturday league teams are up and running. The 2s won their first game and whilst the newly promoted 1s and Sunday XI both came second, the season is very young. Can everyone get their availability to the captains to make their lives easier please!
- Del is getting match reports to the local paper and on our website, please look out for them and show your friends. We want people to know how we are getting on and need to raise our profile. We can all help do this......
- Speaking about matches - our Fixture Card has been delayed at the printer, but will be with us next week (I'll let you know when). A .pdf of the full card can be found on our website and I have attached it to this mail (on the right side).
- Thanks to all that have paid subs, for those that have not - please do so.
- We really could do with some umpire help on Saturdays. Can anyone help or do you know someone who would like to do it? If so please let me know......
- Finally for now, I am delighted that we have just secured £4,000 of funding for new mobile covers and a roller/blotter to mop up water from the table and run-ups after rain; all sides will benefit and we will get more games played as a result. The funding has come via the ECB and Waitrose (thanks to them!) and it brings the total to almost £50,000 of outside investment since I've been Chairman. My thanks to Mally and Gleno for all assistance in arranging the submissions! Everything is on order so I look forward to updating you.....
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. North Enfield CC then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
