I must start with some sad news that we have learnt from Colin Dye, his email reads
"Hello Glen,
I thought you might like to know that sadly my Mum, Peggy Dye, passed away last weekend.
She suffered a fall a couple of weeks ago which may well have been caused by a mini-stroke but went steadily downhill since then. Although she was in a care home in Lincolnshire I was able to travel up and be with her at the end.
I suspect that there are not many contemporaries of my parents still around but if there are then I would be grateful if you could pass on the news.
Regards,
Colin Dye"
Peggy and Bob Dye were life members of our club, contributed so much over the years and were mentioned heavily in our Centenary Brochure. There is even a lovely photo of them displayed in the pavillion of them taking in beer delivery circa 1950. I have Colin's address if you would like to make contact please let me know.
Glen on behalf of the club has passed on our condolences.
On different note it has just been announced that the Tottenham Foundation / MCC Foundation are offering free cricket coaching to children in years 6 - 10 in Enfield over the winter. Information is attached to the side of this mail. Places are limited to please contact [email protected] if you would like to book a place.
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. our club then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
