Well it might be just the first day of March but the season's plans are well under way! We have had our first management meeting of the season; I attended the league AGM last night; we have held a Junior planning meeting and many items have already been actioned; our fixture card is nearing its first draft for review and Darren and his team have been carrying out lots of preparation work on the ground. What other news do I have?
- Speaking of the fixture card, does anyone have an advert that they would like to feature? Our card not only goes out to members, but we also distribute it to local schools, residents and businesses. We have a few pages to fill so please reply to me if you would like to feature in 2016.
- As previously mentioned, our work rota dates are up and coming. PLEASE mark the weekends of 2nd/3rd & 16th/17th April in the diary and come and help. The first weekend is the official NatWest Workforce weekend when we will be supplying t-shirts, bacon rolls and hot drinks to all helpers. All adults, juniors and parents are members of this club and use the facilities, PLEASE come and spare a few hours and do your bit to help; we have loads to do and improve.
- We are holding two taster / pre-season nets sessions at Strayfield Road, the details are as follows
- 10th & 17th April
- Juniors 13.00 - 15.00
- Adults 15.00 - 16.30
- Sessions are free and open to all, please mention to all family, friends, schoolmates and neighbours and encourage them to come up to the club and have a try. Any questions please let me know.
- Membership letters for juniors and adults will be sent soon. Please action as soon as you receive them, we are are short of money at this time of the year and need you membership money please!
- Our first Wednesday session for the juniors will be 20th April. Again, please mark in your busy diaries and mention us to all friends, schoolmates, neighbours and family
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. North Enfield CC then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
