I hope this mail finds you all well and now that Spring has officially begun, cricket is very much just around the corner. I have a few things for you…..
- I am delighted to officially confirm that we have been successful in obtaining £10,000 of funding from the Big Lottery for much needed internal works in the pavilion. We have another bid in with the ECB/Waitrose for £4,000 of ‘white goods’ submitted. Please keep your fingers crossed! Huge thanks must go to Gleno Halley for all efforts.
- Thanks to everyone who attended the AGM. For those of you not there, please find attached my report for the evening which I think is a good summary. For all those that have volunteers for all positions I thank you for making North Enfield the great place it is!
- The 2015 Fixture Card is almost complete. If you have a small business or something to advertise, please let me know ASAP and we will try and find you space for a donation to NECC…..
- Work Rota dates are 28/29 March and 4/5 April. More details to follow, but we need all help and assistance especially as the end of season rota was so badly attended. Thanks in advance for all support!
- We are planning a net and a team building event / social on either the 11 or 12th April. I’m looking into some options, so please look out for my next mail.
- Please have a look at our online club shop if you need some new kit. We have added club helmets onto the site and it is well worth a look. Also for every purchase the club gets a percentage of every sale!
- One advantage of us now being Middlesex CCC affiliated is that all full members can apply for ‘Affiliated Playing Membership’. It is only £25 and applications need to be in before 30th April. Details can be found athttp://www.middlesexccc.com/membership or make contact with me.
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. North Enfield then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails, if you know people that do not, please let me have their address and I will add them to my list.
With very best wishes
James
