To all of you that attended our AGM, thank you for coming! It really is an important evening for everyone to have their say, put his or her hand up to get involved and it signifies the start of the season. For those of you that could not make it I have attached my report as a link to the side of this mail. Any questions, concerns or comments, no matter how big/small, please let me know.
For those of you not there, you might not know that Richard Barber as agreed to be our new President. Richard has been a member for many years, he has grandchildren in our junior section and is a very familiar face at the club. For those of you that do not know him, you will do soon...... I am thrilled that Richard has agreed to take up the post and we all on management, look forward to benefiting from his insight and experience.
Thanks goes to all members that have put themselves forward for positions on management or captains / vice-captains. We are all busy people, so I'm most grateful that you find the time to dedicate to our club, without which, we simply would not be here. As Chairman I really look forward to supporting you all in 2017.
We are currently compiling our fixture card. If you have or know a local business that might want to place an advert please contact me ASAP. The fee is nominal and our cards are distributed widely around Middlesex, Hertfordshire and posted on our internet site.
More details to follow, but our pre-season work rota weekends are 1st & 2nd and 8th & 9th April. We have lots to do inside and out, so all help is required from all members. All sections of the club use all facilities, so we all have an obligation to get the club ready for the season.
We are in full planning mode for the coming season. If you have any ideas whatsoever please don't keep them to yourself. Please share them with me or someone on management.
Finally for now, I would just like to thank all members for voting for me as your 2017 Chairman. I have been honoured to do the role since 2011 and though I'm far from perfect, I do only have two genuine intensions, 1. to do the right thing for all members. 2. secure our club's future. That is what I will continue to do with all your help and support.
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. our club then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
