Sorry for no mails recently, not sure where January went.....
Though I have not been congesting your inboxes there are always things happening off the field even though cricket seems a million years away from the present with the snow and rain falling .....
- our junior coaches have already met to plan out the coming season
- Nick and Mally have had their fingers pressed to their keypads to line up fixtures in the diary for all teams up to the end of September
- we as a management team are continually in touch to cover what needs to be done and check the bank balance
- Gleno, Steve Gilmore and I are hosting a meeting with our club rep from Middlesex on Friday evening to catch up on all things Clubmark, developments within Middlesex cricket and funding
Speaking of the AGM and as per Owen's letter we are looking for a new Secretary, Second XI and Sunday XI skippers and vices plus a Social Secretary. Please let Owen or I know if you are interested in any of these positions before the night.
Funding. Since I have been Chairman we have raised a very impressive (I think!) £49,884.34 of outside investment from various sources. I'm desperately keen to break the £50k mark but need some help. Do you have some time to spend researching opportunities and pulling together the required paperwork? If so please call or mail me.
Finally to all of you that donated directly to the roller fund I have not forgotten about you! I will be mailing you all soon to finalise the plaque to make sure it is installed in the early season.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the AGM on Sunday.....
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. our club then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
