Dear North Enfield,
Well there goes another season at Strayfield Road, our last game was yesterday and was also Darren Webster's last for the club before he moves with his family to Devon. We wish you well Websters!!
A cricket update from me. The 1s finished 7th and the 2s 3rd in their respective leagues. Congratulations to all! Despite a lot of frustration re. selection, the season finished on a positive note with many impressive performances and memorable events taking place. The Sunday XI has also had a very positive season with at least one junior (who has been a product of our junior coaching set up) playing in each game. This is exactly what we are all about and is what we want to see i.e. the progression from junior to senior cricket.
A reminder that our post season Player's Meeting will be held on the 16th October, starting at 20.00. Please come along and have your say.
We held our Junior Presentation Night on the 15th September. It was another brilliant turn out and a true celebration of all the good work that our coaches do and the support our budding cricketers get from parents, grandparents and the club in general. If you could not make it please get in touch with your child's match manger to get a certificate and medal sent to you.
As mentioned in numerous mails our Work Rota weekends take place on 7th/8th and 14th/15th October. The days start at 10.00 and if you, or your son / daughter have played cricket this year your help is needed to ensure we can all play again next year. Any questions please mail or call me. I look forward to seeing you there, even if it is just for a few hours on one of the days. Thank you.

I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. our club then please let me know.
