Sorry for my slight radio silence over the past few weeks. Not sure where the time goes?
Firstly, if this is the first time you are reading my mail as you are a parent of a new junior or you are a new member, then can I welcome you to North Enfield! All members have an equal voice and we all make our club as we begin our 131rd year of cricket at North Enfield.
The juniors have been meeting now for a couple of Wednesdays and are doing brilliantly. Simply, they are our future and they are a credit to our club! I have heard many positive comments about the level of coaching, matches being playing in excellent spirit and all round fun being had. Long may that continue. We still have a few more places if people are interested, please mention us at the school gate, to friends and neighbours. Any question direct to Nick Munt our Junior Secretary or myself.
Have you got your Fixture Card yet? They not only have all adult and junior fixtures, but it all contains lots of other import information including contact numbers and email addresses. Please pick yours up from inside the pavilion or a link to is on our homepage

Speaking of the pavilion, our refurbishment is almost complete. Our new floor is down which we hope all members approve of. We are sure that the new look will encourage members to spend more time in the pavilion and will be far more welcoming. Thanks to everyone who has improved our home inside over the winter. Best is has looked for 30 years!
Sorry for the slight delay but after all sorts of issues with the last shop we have a new one. I wanted to keep the same range of clothing as before to make sure kit already purchased does not look out of place. This has been achieved but new ranges have been released by SS. I have been assured of good stock levels and quick turnarounds on orders. The new shop can be found as a link on our homepage at

I have also worked hard with Mark at Prokit to keep the prices as competitive as possible, but also to ensure good quality kit; prices are actually a little cheaper than what we had before. I hope you like it and approve, I have requested a wide brim sunhat, any questions or comments please let me know.
Mark has kindly agreed to come up to Strayfield Road next Wednesday with some sample items for sizing. You will be able to order in person and he will deliver the following week to save postage on all orders.
That’s all for now. Good luck to all seniors who start the first round of Saracens Herts League matches tomorrow. Please keep skippers updated on your availability, it really helps them!
I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management. If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. our club then please let me know.
Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
